5-year-old Girl Rescued In Osun After Prolonged Physical Abuse By Aunt

A 5-year-old girl (name withheld) has been rescued and taken to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital for urgent medical attention over a prolonged physical abuse from her aunt, Gbemisola Oladepo.

The little girl was said to have suffered continued emotional, verbal and physical abuse from Oladepo, a resident at Owode-Ede area of Osun.

In a statement by the Founder/Executive Director, Monsurat Ajoke Foundation, Ms Monsurat Ibrahim, the girl was found with several bruises and injuries all over her body as a result of her aunt’s brutality.

BEYOND AFRICA learnt that the assault on the girl was discovered by her teachers at a holiday coaching.

The case was reported through the efforts of the Special Adviser to the Osun Governor on Women, Children and Social Welfare, Mrs Temilade Olokungboye and Monsurat Ajoke Foundation

The medium learnt that the aunt has been arrested and taken to Zone XI Police Headquarters, Osogbo.
