The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked the lies of the state chapter of the Accord Party, alleging the main opposition APC party in the state of rebranding some of its campaign vehicles in the ruling party’s colour in order to cause violence in the state.

It would be recalled that the state chairman of the Accord Party, Pastor Victor Akande, issued a statement on Friday, stating that he was privy to an information that our party’s candidate campaign council was rebranding some of its vehicles in Accord Party’s colours to launch fresh wave of gun attacks in the state and blame same on Governor Adeleke.

We want to inform the members of the public, the police and other security services in the state that there’s no iota of truth in the frivolous allegation of a supposed man of God that our party is embarking on any untoward means to disturb the peace of the state.

The Osun State APC can not now imbibe the culture of violence which hitherto was not in its character to ensure the victory of his hardworking, pragmatic and resourceful governorship candidate who is sufficiently lettered with enough cognate experience to govern the state.

We are used to the antics of the handlers of the Accord Party right from the time it was known with the nomenclature of the defunct Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that they were fond of accusing the opposition of what they intend to do.

As a result of this, we enjoin the police to keep the Accord Party’s handlers under surveillance as the ripple effects of the onslaught of their political thugs against our members and supporters in Ile-Ife, Owode-Ede and Osogbo is still fresh in the memory of the discerning members of the society.

It is worrisome that a supposed man of God in the person of the state Accord Party chairman could join some disgruntled politicians to fabricate from the beer parlour grievous allegations against the campaign council of our governorship candidate

We consider such a baseless allegation against our peaceful governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji AMBO, as diversionary which should be discountenanced by the members of the public and the security services.

Why was it impossible for the Accord Party handlers to immediately invite the police to their imaginary scene of the supposed crime if actually they were saying the truth?

Based on this fabricated allegation of the Osun State chapter of the Accord Party against the campaign council of our governorship candidate, we, as a party, are suggesting to the police and other security services that all branded Accord Party vehicles in the state should be subjected to stop-and-search operation in order to unveil the real criminals playing unmerited innocence.
