…….As Legislators Demand Accountability From Ayorinde, Halt Ongoing Projects
The Legislative Council of the Abeokuta North Local Government under the leadership of Hon. Sikiru Tunde Sanni has directed that all ongoing projects within the local government should be out on hold tentatively.
The lawmaker however called on the chairman, Hon. Adebayo Ayorinde to furnished the House with a detailed expenditure of the council project fund.
The decision was arrived at the
at the plenary of the House, held on May 22, 2024.
The sitting was attended by 12 honourable members including the 4 principal officers who all voted in favour of the motion as moved by Hon. Adejobi Olusanmi, Councillor representing Ward 12 and seconded by Hon. Adeogun Lukman of ward 16 respectively.
Meanwhile, all efforts to get the reaction of the Chariman proved abortive as he is yet to respond to messages sent to his WhatsApp number as at time of filing this report.
