As Nigerians mark the 65th Independence Anniversary of the country today, the Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on Information Technology, Hon. Akeem Oluseye has urged government at all levels to invest heavily in information technology to tackle lingering insecurity and youths empowerment.

Oluseye stated this in a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

According to the SSA, investing in information technology will put end to the nation’s lingering insecurity and serve as a source of income for youths through massive trainings and empowerment.

He said: “I felicitate with fellow Nigerians on the occasion of our 65th Independence Anniversary. As a nation, we have come a long way and this moment calls for deep reflection. It’s high time government at all levels invested more in technology to get rid of the miscreants disturbing the peace of our country.

“We also need to equip the younger generation with the knowledge of modern technology. We should empower and encourage them to take knowledge of different digital skills. This will reduce the rate of unemployment in the country.”

More so, Oluseye sought the support and collaboration of Ogun residents for Governor Abiodun on his transformation programs.

“As good citizens of Ogun, we all should support our amiable Governor, his Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun on his developmental policies. I believe all our wishes will come to fruition,” The statement concluded.
