Sunday Morakinyo, the second defendant who was sentenced to death alongside Segun Olowookere in 2014, for stealing two fowl and eggs in Oyan, Odo-otin local government area of Osun State is mentally unstable.
Findings by BEYOND AFRICA revealed that Morakinyo is in dire need of medical attention.
According to investigation, he suffered the mental illness through the torture he received while in Police custody in 2010.
He was pardoned alongside 53 other inmates by Governor Ademola Adeleke recently.
