The Baale of Orile- Oko, Remo North Local Government, Ogun State, Chief Elijah Agboola has allegedly committed suicide.
BEYOND AFRICA gathered that the monarch poisoned himself few months after ascending the throne over inability to fulfil promises he made to some people.
Chief Agboola according to sources close to the palace, was said to have received cars from different people, with the promise to allocate lands to them within the community. But was unable to do so, a development that has become embarrassment to his throne.
After his death, his son was said to have seized the monarch body for days, which prevented the traditionalists to bury him.
But he was later arrested by the police while the body was also recovered for proper burial arrangements.
