The Osun State Police Command has deployed its officers for the Saturday, February 22, 2025 Osun Local Government Election, BEYOND AFRICA gathered.
This is coming few hours after the Force Headquarters in Abuja issued a statement, advising Governor Ademola Adeleke and the Peoples Democratic party to cancel the election while sighting security threats.
One of the police officer who spoke with BEYOND AFRICA under the condition of anonymity said directive was given to them by the state command last night to go out for the election so as to maintain law and order.
Some of the officers were sighted around VGC area of Osogbo
