Flooding: ‘We Are Loosing Our Property, Ogun Community Seeks Gov Abiodun’s Intervention

Residents of Osioyemi Community in Odeda Local Government area of Ogun State have seek the intervention of the state government over the incessant flooding caused by torrential rainfall in the area.

The flooding according to the Chairman of the Community, Comrade Alameen Akinsola has caused damages to people’s life and property.

Some of the areas affected in the community according to Akinsola are, Akingbala, Ogunji junction among other places.

He called on the State Ministry of environment to intervene to curtail the menace.

Akinsola also urged the Odeda local government chairman, Dr. Folasade Adeyemo to use her good office in addressing the situation before it get out of hand.

“On behalf of everyone at Osioyemi Community, we appeal to Governor Dapo Abiodun to come to our aid on this flooding issue. It has become a nightmare for us. We barely sleep with our eyes close at night with the fear of rain.”
