…… To Appear Before Ogun Assembly Tomorrow Alongside Councillors, Supervisors

The immediate past Chairman of Odeda Local Government area of Ogun State, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo has been accused of selling lands belongs to the local government illegally.

Adeyemo was said to have allegedly sold some parcel of lands located at Kotopo, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

Meanwhile, in respect of the allegation, the former council boss has been invited by the Ogun State House of Assembly for questioning.

Adeyemo is expected to appear before the Assembly Committee on Public Accounts and Anti-corruption tomorrow, Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

A statement signed by the Committee Secretary, Elegbede L.O reads, “Good day sir, I’m directed by the Chairman, Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Public Accounts and Anti-Corruption to invite you to a meeting with the Committee on Wednesday 18th September, 2024 at 11am.

“The meeting is in respect of a petition written against the immediate past Chairman of Odeda LGA *Hon. Folasade Waliat Adeyemo* on the alleged illegal sales of the L.G lands at Kotopo, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

“Your presence at the meeting will be highly appreciated.
Thanks sir.”

Also, all immediate past Councillors, Supervisors and Career Officers were also invited on the matter.

According to a source within the local government, the outgoing chairman has caused so much damage to the local government, saying she is planning to do more.

“The immediate past Chairman of Odeda Local Government has caused so much damage to our local government and she plan to do more evil,” the source said.

However, a close source to the chairman who craved anonymity described the allegation as false.

The source while speaking with BEYOND AFRICA on Tuesday said the matter is already before the Assembly, saying the ex chairman will appear before the house tomorrow to exhornorate herself.
