Former Ogun Central Senator, Lanre Tejuoso has applauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for given a facelift to all sports facilities in Ogun State ahead of the 2025 Gateway Games festival.

The senator in a statement by the Organiser of Tejuoso Grassroot Football Competition, Hon Moroof Salaudeen commended the Governor for transforming the sport sector in the state.

According to the former Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Abiodun has demonstrated spirit of sportsmanship transforming all sporting games and modernised all the sporting facilities to International standard, saying Ogun is now among states with standard sports facilities and football stadium.

The statement made available to BEYOND AFRICA reads: “Our sports loving Senator in the history of Ogun Central, Lanre Tejuoso is welcoming all participating states to the Gateway Games Festival. The senator is also using this medium to appreciate the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun for transforming all sports areas in the state.

“The Governor has modernised all the sporting facilities to International standard. No doubt, Ogun is now among the states with standard sports facilities and football stadiums.”

This year edition is the 22nd of its kind in the history of the festival.
