Special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State on Information Technology, Hon. Akeem Oluseye, has urged teachers in the state to benefit from the Federal Government’s initiative to empower individuals in the teaching profession across the country with subsidised mobile mobile devices and free data access to enhance professional development and classroom delivery.
The initiative was unveiled by the Federal Ministry of Education, last Thursday. The Scheme will benefit 8,000 teachers from the six geopolitical zones in its first phase, which will runs from December 2025 to July 2026.
Oluseye made the call while speaking with newsmen in his office, at the Ogun Tech Hub, Kobape Road, Abeokuta, on Monday.
He said: “I want to urge our people in the teaching profession to benefit from the Federal Government’s subsidised mobile device and free data. I believe this will enhance their skills and made teaching activities more proficient.
“Also, registration is also ongoing at our office for a training we tagged ‘EDUSYSTEM: NEXT GEN’ where teachers will have access to a vast, constantly updated global library of knowledge and professional resources
“It’s a transformative program designed to empower teachers to harness the true potential of integrated teaching”
