…. Urges Residents To Be Patient With Governor
A member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Akeem Oluseye has commended Governor Dapo Abiodun on the approval of N77,000 as new minimum wage for workers in Ogun State.
Governor Abiodun yesterday approved the sum for the lowest worker in the state which takes immediate effect.
This was revealed after a meeting between the Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, and the leadership of the Organised Labour in Ogun State.
Oluseye, a former Chairmanship aspirant of the APC in the November 16 local government elections in the state described Governor Abiodun as a worker friendly Governor.
He stated this in a statement made available to Journalists in Abeokuta, on Tuesday.
Oluseye said: “Kudos to our amiable leader and Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun. There Is no doubt that his policies since inception have always been in the interest of workers.
“We must commend him for this giant stride. I hope other state governors can emulate him on this kind gesture.”
The IT expert and Social scientist however urged the people of Ogun State to be patient with the governor on his mission to rebuild the state, saying the development will get to everyone before the end of his administration.
