As activities for the 2027 general elections in Nigeria gear up, consultations have begun across the country and Ogun State is not an exception. As the Gateway State, Ogun State is always the first in everything. We are the political Headquarters of Nigeria having produced three Presidents in the history of the country.
In preparation for the general elections, a foremost Medical Doctor, Dr. Emmanuel Olusola Soyoola (EOS) has also begun consultations among stakeholders to contest the Ogun Central Senatorial ticket under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dr. Soyoola was born on August 4, 1958 in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine between September 1977 – July 1982. He then proceeded to Tuskegee University, Alabama, United States of America for his Master of Science in Endocrinology (1985 – 1986).
He bagged his doctorate degree in Molecular Endocrinology from Auburn University in 1991 and later proceeded to Morehouse School of Medicine as a Medical Doctor (July 1994 – May 1998).
The Ogun Central Senator hopeful is the Founder/Chief Medical Director, OLAN Comprehensive Healthcare Centre, Ikeja, Lagos State, Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA and Logan West Virginia.
MEMBERSHIPS
The Senatorial aspirant is a member of Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Georgia State Medical Association, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology among others.
His quest for a society where individuals are treated equally is one of the reasons Dr. Soyoola is aspiring to be the next senator to represent Ogun Central at the Nigeria House of senate.
With his educational history and work experience, Dr. Soyoola would offer unique perspectives on Nigeria healthcare issues, with a vital voice in discussions on medicine and public health.
Dr. Soyoola understands healthcare systems, patient needs, and medical complexities, he will assist in informing legislation on public health, insurance, and reform.
