LG Elections: Ojodu, Oyegbola, Others Out As Abeokuta North APC Holds Primary Election

…… Nominates Yomade, Oluseye, Egbeyemi

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Abeokuta North Local Government area of Ogun State has successfully nominated three chairmanship candidates for the upcoming Local Government elections which is scheduled to hold in November 16.

The primary election came up after the date of deadline of the submission of candidates was released.

The nomination exercise occurred on Sunday 1st of September 2024 at the residence of one of the political leaders in the local , Hon. Adeshina.

BEYOND AFRICA gathered that the primary elections started exactly 2:30pm

The aspirants who participated in the primary election were Yomade 23 votes, Hon. Akeem Oluseye 22 votes, Hon. Egbeyemi 18 votes, Hon. Fajinmi 6 votes, Ojodu 8 votes, Hon. Tajudeen Isola 4 votes , Hon. Sanni 3 votes, Hon. Lanre Oyegbola Sodipo3 votes and Hon. Ogunjobi 1vote.

At the the end of the election three candidates were selected which were Yomade, Oluseye and Egbeyemi.

The meeting was attended by all APC apex leaders in the LG from Alhaja Faidat Sarumi, APC Abeokuta North Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Oludotun, Yemi Adelani, Ogun APC Organising Secretary, Fatai Ajigbare, Abeeb Ajayi, Member of Ogun State House of Assembly representing Abeokuta North, Hon. Tunde Tella and among others.
