The newly inaugurated Local Government Caretaker Coordinators of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Osun State have received their appointment letters.
The event came up during the visit of the Osun NYCN led by Comrade Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi to the office of the Honourable Commissioner of Youth Affairs, Hon. Olalekan Moshood Olagunju.
Oyeniyi in a statement jointly signed with the Caretaker Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Adebisi said the meeting aimed to foster a relationship between the coordinators and the commissioner while discussing the future of youth development in Osun State.
“The purpose of the meeting was for the caretaker coordinators to get acquainted with Hon. Olalekan Moshood Olagunju and to discuss strategies for enhancing youth empowerment and development across the state. The coordinators were eager to present their initiatives and seek the commissioner’s guidance and support.
“During the meeting, Comrade Adebisi Emmanuel Oluwaseun, a key figure in the caretaker committee, introduced all the coordinators to the commissioner. He expressed deep appreciation for Hon. Olagunju’s unwavering support for youth development, highlighting the positive impact of his initiatives on the youth community in Osun State.
“Hon. Moshood Olagunju, in his address, welcomed the coordinators warmly and commended them for their dedication to youth development. He emphasized the importance of their roles as ambassadors of NYCN in their respective local government areas, urging them to uphold the values and principles of the organization.
“Furthermore, Hon. Moshood Olagunju advised the coordinators to foster unity and collaboration among their members and other youth organizations within their jurisdictions. He stressed that regardless of organizational affiliations, working together harmoniously would lead to greater achievements and a more robust youth development framework.
“The commissioner also highlighted the need for the coordinators to engage actively with their communities, understand the unique challenges faced by the youth, and devise innovative solutions to address these issues. He assured them of his continued support and cooperation in all their endeavors.
“The meeting concluded with the formal distribution of appointment letters to the local government caretaker coordinators, marking the official commencement of their duties. This was followed by a group photograph session to capture the momentous occasion”, the statement reads partly.
