Hon. Taofeek Oladayo Ogunjimi is a politician and seasoned banker, born into the family of Alhaji and Alhaja M.A. Ogunjimi of Odekunmi Compound of Ago Ododo, ward 01, Abeokuta North Local Government.

Ogunjimi had his primary education at Jehova Shalom Primary school, Somolu. Lagos State. He attended Eyinni high school, Ibadan, Oyo State.

He graduated from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University in 1992 having bagged B.sc in Business Administration.

He joined the banking sector in 1994 where he rose to his peak as the chief executive officer. He retired in 2021. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria.

Ogunjimi is currently a member of the All Progressives Congress.

He joined politics in 2016 and contested as the candidate of Action Democratic Congress in 2019 election and equally chosen as candidate of PDP in 2023 elections.

With over 20 years experience in the banking sector, Ogunjimi had witnessed how farmers find it difficult to access loans. Being a farmer himself at a point in his life, he is aware of how difficult it is to farm without fund. With his vision, he will push a policy that will grant farmers free access to loan.

He knows the important of funds for market women in expanding their businesses. He will make sure this is given utmost priority as the next House of Assembly member in Abeokuta North State constituency come 2027.

Having gone round the state during his years in the banking sector, he understood the conditions of rural roads in his local government and will push for a motion that improves on rural development

Various empowerment schemes will also be put in place to support the youths in reinforcing their skills and equip them as well.
