Ogun Central Senatorial aspirant, Dr. Emmanuel Olusola Soyoola, has urged Christians and Muslim Ummah to use the significance of Ramadan and Lent to make sacrifices for others.
Dr. Soyoola made the call in a message issued to felicitate with both Christian and Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the fasting.
According to him, this period symbolizes spiritual purification that requires sacrificing for the needy in our environment.
“I felicitate with both Christians and our Muslim brothers. This season is a period of love and devotion. We must dedicate ourselves to make sacrifices for the less privileged in our immediate environment by providing for them.
“I pray that God Almighty grant our wishes during this period,” the statement reads.
