Senator Oyewumi Felicitates Muslims on the Occasion of Id-el-Maulud

‎The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate and Mayegun Adinni of Irewole/Isokan/Ayedaade Federal Constituency, Distinguished Senator Lere Kamorudeen Oyewumi, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Osun State and across Nigeria on the auspicious celebration of Id el-Maulud, the commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

‎Senator Oyewumi described the celebration as a moment of deep reflection on the exemplary life, teachings, and virtues of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), who epitomized peace, humility, compassion, justice, and unwavering devotion to Almighty Allah. He urged Muslims to emulate these noble qualities in their daily lives for the progress of humanity and the unity of the nation.

‎“As we celebrate this year’s Id el-Maulud, I call on all faithful to rededicate themselves to the path of love, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence. Our country is in need of healing, unity, and moral reawakening, and there is no better time than now to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s life and message,” Senator Oyewumi stated.

‎The Senator further enjoined Nigerians to continue praying for the peace, stability, and development of the nation, while also encouraging leaders at all levels to uphold justice, fairness, and accountability in service to the people. He wished the Muslim community a joyous and spiritually fulfilling celebration, praying that Almighty Allah accepts their acts of devotion and grants the nation enduring peace and prosperity.
