Two suspected Aiye Confraternity members, known as Adisa Abiodun and Rasheed Makinde, who allegedly participated in the robbery attack on the Hommies Hotel in the Ijoko community of the Ado-Odo-Ota Local Government Area of the state have been arrested and detained by the Ogun State Police Command.

BEYOND AFRICA gathered that the suspects were nabbed by police officers on Tuesday in the Ntabo community of Ijoko, following tips from residents of the area.

It was learnt that the suspects had previously participated in raping a 25-year-old female staffer (name withheld), who worked at the lounge and bar during the attack on the hotel.

It was also learnt from a police operative involved in the arrest, who spoke on the condition of anonymity that the suspects had been a thorn in the flesh of the residents, wreaking terror and mayhem on the community.

It was gathered that while the suspects were unleashing another round of chaos on the community, some residents alerted the police in the Sango-Ota Division, who promptly stormed the scene.

Upon sighting the approaching police operatives, BEYOND AFRICA learnt that the suspected cult members allegedly fled, prompting the police to give chase.

“There were about 30 of them. They were suspected to have been terrorising the community for a long time. They are members of the Aiye Confraternity,” the cop said.
