The Publicity Secretary of Omoluabi Progressives, a caucus within the Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abosede Oluwaseun has reiterated the committment of the group in repositioning the party in the state, saying they’re unperturbed with any side distractions from the former governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s camp.

The chairman of the party in the state, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal had earlier accused Aregbesola of committing various anti-party activities, including forming groups that are working against the interest of the party.

But Oluwaseun while refuting Lawal claim said Aregbesola left the the affairs of the party intact to his successor, Adegboyega Oyetola who later led the party into opposition after loosing the 2022 governorship election to Senator Ademola Adeleke.

According to the publicity Secretary, “When Aregbesola left the affairs of APC to his successor… the structure of the party was intact but that cannot be said again years later.

“They have failed two time when they plotted to suspend Aregbesola in his ward in Ilesa East Local Government Area of Osun State. We are not distracted to reposition the party, APC so that we can reclaim the state from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2026.”

Also, the APC claimed Aregbesola, is no more a member of the party, saying they have taken steps three times to notify the national secretariat of the distractions from him and they expect the national secretariat to do the needful.
