…… Calls For Reorientation Among Nigerians

A member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon. Akeem Oluseye has revealed reasons he joined politics.

Oluseye who participated in the November 16, 2024 Ogun Local Government elections primary under APC disclosed that he joined politics because of his inbuilt and genuine love for the people.

He made the disclosure while addressing his supporters in Abeokuta, on Friday.

Oluseye during the primary emerged second on the list sent to Governor Dapo Abiodun for consideration.

The IT expert and Social Scientist while speaking noted that he didn’t come into politics to amass wealth, saying God has blessed him to some level before deciding to contest any seat in the state.

Oluseye stressed that most of his friends in Nigeria and abroad have confronted many times, saying his affluence surpassed what he will gain in politics.

“Whenever my friends challenge me to leave politics, I do tell them that It’s not just about me, but the people. My people really needs me back home. I know God has bless me to some extent.

“I Ventured into politics to contribute my quota to the development of Ogun State and Nigeria. My mission is to use my network and experience to make significant impact in the life of the people, especially in the grassroot.

“We have done a lot behind the scene in helping our people. People have their different styles of doing things. Some people can distribute ordinary biscuits and take it to the media.

“We have people we take care on weekly basis. I believe one day, we will represent our people on a larger platform.
I have the dream of serving the people from my childhood days. The leadership ability in me has been manifesting since I was small.

“Jacque Fresco once said in one of his words that, “It takes a different value system if you wish to change the world”. We have all what it takes to contribute to the prospect of Ogun State. I always aspire to change the narrative of things in politics. It’s not about personal gains.

“Also, order to change the system, we need to change our ideas. We need begin to reorientate our people on how to do things in a modern ways. The development of our society should be our individual priority.”
