Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State, Hon. Akeem Oluseye (HAO) has disclosed that his empowerment programmes focus more on the widows, orphans, and elderly people.
According to Oluseye, this category of people are the most vulnerable in the society, adding that they receive little attention from politicians.
He stated this while featuring on a private radio program, IROYIN ISLAM on SMASH FM, Abeokuta, the state capital, on Saturday, September 06, 2025.
“We have unique ways of doing our things. Most of our empowerments are personal to us. We rarely publicize them to the world. We have lists of widows, orphans and elderly people that we fund on a monthly basis.
“Meanwhile, we don’t do this through a third party. I take the materials to them directly myself and we are updating the list every time. This is important to me because this category of people are most vulnerable. Most politicians don’t give them priority,” The SSA noted.
Oluseye, who spoke on the topic ‘Character in Islam,’ urged Muslim Ummah to emulate the teachings of the holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) in their dealings.
He also commended Governor Dapo Abiodun in his efforts to give Ogun State a face-lift while praying for him to succeed.
Listeners who called in to the program within and outside the state commended Oluseye for his contributions to humanity while urging him to maintain his good name.
