A newlywed woman, Habiba Ibrahim has allegedly cut off the manhood of her 40-year-old husband, Salisu Idris, BEYOND AFRICA gathered.
However, she was reportedly arrested by the police in the Zaria area of Kaduna State.
BEYOND AFRICA learnt that the sad incident happened on May 26 after the husband returned from the mosque where he observed the early morning Muslim prayers.
According to, Idris, who’s a commercial motorcycle rider, explained that as he was lying on his bed, his wife suddenly pounced on him with a sharp knife and almost cut off his manhood.
He, however, said that for the timely intervention of his neighbour, Habiba, who he married four years ago, would have succeeded in cutting off his manhood completely.
He said he was shocked by his wife’s action.
The Kaduna State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansur Hassan, could not be reached for comments as his telephone indicated that he wasn’t reachable.
Meanwhile, the wife gave no reason for her action.
