•Reveals Date For State

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Osun State Chapter, held its State Management Meeting on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The meeting was presided over by Comrade Abdul-majeed Oyeniyi, Chairman of the Caretaker Committee.

The management passed a vote of confidence on the Osun State Government led by His Excellency, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke, for its youth-friendly policies and support for the forthcoming NYCN congress. A vote of confidence was also passed on the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Affairs, Osun State, Moshood Olagunju, and the National Executive Council of the NYCN led by Amb. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo.

The management resolved to hold the state Congress from January 24 to 26, 2025, and directed the Caretaker Committee to commence preparations in earnest. The Congress Planning Committee and Electoral Committee were also established to oversee the logistics and election process, respectively.

The Congress Planning Committee comprises Arowosegbe Gbenga (Chairman), Dare Adeyemi (Member), and Ekofa Abraham (Member). The Electoral Committee comprises Ajayi Michael (Chairman), Folorunsho Surprise (Secretary), Yekeen Oladele (Member), Mrs Ogunleye Bolatito( ministry of youth affairs) Observer

The Electoral Committee will ensure a transparent, fair, and credible election process, while the Congress Planning Committee will handle logistics, delegate arrangements, and other organizational requirements.

The management urged all committees to work closely with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a credible congress.

The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, Comrade Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi, expressed gratitude to all members for their cooperation and urged them to remain committed to the collective goals of the council. He assured all stakeholders of a transparent and successful Congress.
