The Chairman of Osioyemi Community in Ogun State, Mr. Alameen Akinsola, has called on residents to reject monetary inducements from politicians ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during a community meeting on Sunday, Akinsola urged members of the community to prioritize sustainable development over financial incentives offered during election campaigns.

He appealed to residents to demand the rehabilitation of roads, employment opportunities for youths, and other critical infrastructure instead of accepting money in exchange for political support.

According to him, holding elected officials accountable for delivering good governance and development is more beneficial than selling votes for short-term financial gain.

Akinsola stressed that the future of the community depends on making informed electoral decisions and supporting leaders who are committed to improving the welfare of the people.
