Dr. Emmanuel Olusola Soyoola, has tasked members of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun Central to respect and uphold the consensus arrangement by the leaders of the party in the district.

Dr. Soyoola made the call ahead of the APC senatorial primary scheduled for tomorrow.

In the statement issued on Sunday and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, the medical expert stressed that party cohesion and adherence to established party processes remain critical to maintaining APC’s dominance and credibility in Ogun State.

He urged all stakeholders, delegates, and members across the six local government areas of Ogun Central to mobilize and support Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu as the party’s consensus candidate.

“The stability and electoral success of our party depend on our ability to act as one united body. The decision of the Governor and the party leadership reflects wide consultations and is aimed at ensuring peace, order, and victory for the APC,” Dr. Soyoola stated.

He further cautioned against actions that could undermine party unity, noting that internal division at this stage would only weaken the APC’s standing ahead of the general elections. Dr. Soyoola reaffirmed his commitment to working with all party structures to ensure a peaceful and credible primary process.

The APC leadership in Ogun State has consistently emphasized consensus-building as a strategy to minimize rancor and present a united front to the electorate.
