The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State on Information Technology, Hon. Akeem Oluseye, has urged Nigerian parents to equip their children with the knowledge of modern technologies.
According to Oluseye, ICT literacy will enable children to use digital technology, communication tools, and networks to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, create, and communicate information ethically and effectively in a knowledge-based society
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abeokuta in commemoration of the 2026 Children’s Day Celebration
“ICT literacy will enable young people to use digital technology, communication tools, and/or networks appropriately to solve information problems in order to function in an information society
“Developing these competences is essential for them to navigate modern education, remote work, and digital entrepreneurship,” he said.
