The attention of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Committee (JCC), Osun Axis, has been drawn to a statement currently circulating in the public space purporting that students across Osun State have collectively endorsed a particular candidate ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
We wish to categorically state that the said statement does not represent the position of NANS JCC Osun Axis, nor does it reflect the official views or collective decision of the teeming students in tertiary institutions across Osun State.
The publication remains the personal opinion of its author and should not be misconstrued as the position of the organized student body in the state.
The general public, political stakeholders, and members of the media are therefore advised to disregard the said statement and any attempt to portray it as the official voice of Osun students.
While NANS JCC Osun Axis has not issued any formal electoral endorsement, it is important to state that students across Osun State remain appreciative of the remarkable strides recorded under the administration of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, particularly in the areas of education, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance.
The overwhelming sentiment across campuses in the state is one of confidence in the administration’s delivery of democratic dividends and commitment to the welfare of students and young people.
Consequently, many students remain supportive of the continuation and consolidation of the transformational agenda of Governor Ademola Adeleke beyond 2026, believing that sustained progress and development are best achieved through continuity of purposeful leadership.
NANS JCC Osun Axis remains committed to protecting the interests of students, promoting constructive engagement with government and stakeholders, and ensuring that the voice of students is represented responsibly and truthfully at all times.
