2027: Ten Ijesa Monarchs Back Osun East ADC Senatorial Candidate, Loye

Not less than ten traditional rulers from Ijesaland came together in a rare show of unity at the Alaa of Ilaa Palace to support Chief Babatunde Olaniyi Loye.

Chief Babatunde Loye is a leading Candidate for the Osun East Senatorial District seat in the National Assembly under the umbrella body of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Yesterday, 7th July, 2026.

 

The monarchs received him warmly at the palace of Alaa of Ilaa Ijesa. This historic event shows strong traditional support for his bid to contest in the 2027 elections.

 

Chief Babatunde Olaniyi Loye is one of the major supporters of the Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam (Iwaloye), used the occasion to explain important parts of the Iwaloye 10-Point Development Agenda.

 

The agenda covers key areas such as workers’ welfare, electricity, good leadership, agriculture, security, education, infrastructure, and other programmes to develop Osun State.

 

He also spoke about his plans to represent the people of Osun East Senatorial District well in the National Assembly. He promised effective representation, development at the grassroots, and a government that listens to the people’s needs.

 

In a special moment, the kings stretched their staff of office towards Chief Loye and prayed for his success, safety, and victory.

 

This strong royal support is very rare and is seen as a major boost for his ambition.
