UNISOSA Inaugurates New National Executives, Pledges Unity

The Unity High School Old Students Association, Ago-Ika, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Thursday inaugurated its newly elected National Executive Council, ushering in a new administration to oversee the affairs of the association.

The inauguration brought together members of the Board of Trustees, past presidents and executives, set coordinators, distinguished alumni and old students from various sets in Nigeria and the diaspora.

The colourful ceremony featured the formal swearing-in of the new executives, the handing over of instruments of office, goodwill messages, prayers and celebrations by members of the association.

In her welcome address, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mrs Ayoade Abosede Rofiat, commended members of UNISOSA for their support and peaceful conduct throughout the electoral process.

Ayoade congratulated the newly inaugurated executives and urged them to uphold the confidence reposed in them by members of the association.

She said, “We salute all UNISOSA members who have gathered here today to celebrate with the new National Executive Officers. We appreciate you for standing behind the new officers.”

She also led members at the ceremony in a special prayer for the success of the new administration, urging the executives to work in the interest of the association and its members.

The new National President, Mr Odusiji Kabir Ayinla, expressed appreciation to members of the Electoral Committee, the Board of Trustees and the entire UNISOSA family for their support during the election and inauguration.

Ayinla said the inauguration marked more than the assumption of office by the new executives, describing it as the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the association.

He said, “Today is not just about our inauguration as the national executive officers; it’s about the beginning of a new chapter in the history of UNISOSA. We promise to work with our elders, BOT and the entire family to promote unity, progress, development, transparency and the welfare of all our members.”

The new president appealed to all members of UNISOSA to give the new administration their continued support and cooperation, pledging that the executives would work collectively to advance the interests of the association.
