…… Begins A Week Exhibition
Shoemaker’s Association of Ogun State, in Ogun Central has called for the establishment of Shoe manufacturing hub in the state.
This is as the Association penned down week activities of shoe week 2024 which will capture the public on their products and how productive the Shoemaker’s of Ogun Central are in boosting the socio-economic of the state.
The Ogun Central Chairman of the Association, Comrade Adedokun Adewale Ajani in an interview with the newsmen at the exhibition centre, MKO stadium Abeokuta, Ogun State hyped the 2024 Shoemaker’s week with the opening of exhibition, games for members, jumat service slated on Friday and exhibition day which will hold on Saturday 19th 2024 at MKO stadium Kuto Abeokuta as first of its kind in the history of shoemakers association in Ogun Central.
He appealed to the state government through commissioner for trade and investment, Mr. Adebola Sofela, to facilitate shoe manufacturing hub in Ogun State for easier productions and these would capture more increase in the state IGR
Comrade Adedokun reiterated that the former vice president, Prof. Yemi Osibajo built the same show manufacturing hub in Anambra State which had made the IGR of that state incredible increased.
He then said Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration can extend same gesture to the state as man of productivity while Ogun known to be a commercial hub centre.
Comrade Adedokun lamented that many youths are idles and most are off-street gangsters were also engaged in disturbing the peace of the state, He advised the state government to build a shoe manufacturing hub where many can be employed and put something on their table as this would reduce the crime rate in the state.
Meanwhile, the state can partner with the shoe maker’s association of Ogun State in collaboration for supplies of their state security Kitt.
Comrade Adedokun highlights activities to mark this year’s Shoe maker’s week 2024 with an open of exhibition, novelty match, jumat prayer and exhibition day.
He then called on the public to come out en masse to their exhibition arena on Saturday 20th April 2024 at the MKO stadium Kuto Abeokuta as the exhibition opens from 9:00am to 5:00pm while the exhibition ends next week Wednesday.
