Just In: Police Arrest Popular Musician, Portable Over N14m Debt

Popular musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable has been arrested by the officers of the Lagos State Police Command over refusal to pay N14m debt he incurred when he purchased G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state.

Portable was said to have paid only N13m during the purchase of the vehicle worth N27m.

BEYOND AFRICA gathered that all efforts by the car dealer  to get his balance proved abortive as he claimed that the vehicle was bad.

Meanwhile, car dealer reported the matter to the police after several efforts to get the singer pay his balance which eventially led to his arrest.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that Portable had been arrested.

In his words, “Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27m, paid N13m and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”
