Ahead of the November 16, 2024 local government elections in Ogun State, Hon. Akeem Oluseye has appealed to residents of Abeokuta North Local Government to support all candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the election.
Oluseye who also contested the chairmanship ticket made the appeal in an open letter made available to BEYOND AFRICA in Abeokuta, on Monday.
According to him, supporting the APC chairmanship candidate and all councillors would bring about dividends of democracy to their doorstep as well complement the mission of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s mission to rebuild the state.
He wrote: “This Saturday, November 16, 2024 will make an historical moment in Ogun State, as the election to usher in new local government administrations will be conducted by the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC).
“As we are preparing towards the day, as a loyal and committed party man, it is pertinent to show support and canvass votes for all our candidates in Abeokuta North Local Government, from the Chairman to our Councillors.
“Firstly, I want to commend every members of the Abeokuta North APC Campaign Council, for touring round the nooks and cranny of the LG, in seeking supports for all the candidates.
“However, we should not relent in our collective efforts in making sure our party comes out victorious this weekend.
“Also, to the residents, I want to implore us to cast our votes for Hon. Lanre Oyegbola and Taiwo Egbeyemi as the next chairman and Vice Chairman of Abeokuta North and as well remember to vote APC Councillorship Candidates in our respective wards. Let us go out enmassed and mobilise for them.
“I am assuring us that voting our party will bring about dividend of democracy to our doorsteps. This will also complement the effort of our amiable Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun in his mission to rebuild Ogun State.
“Finally, I want to thank all members of the All Progressives Congress in Abeokuta North for your resilience and unalloyed support to our candidates. May Almighty God reward us all.” immensely.
