Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has reacted to an online report claiming he vowed never to marry his longtime partner and mother of his children, Davita Lamai.

BEYOND AFRICA learnt that the report surfaced after an X user, @Boutmoney alleged that the singer had made such a decision despite having two children with her.

The user wrote, “Zlatan’s wife (Davita lamai) in tears as zlatan ibile said he will never marry her despite having two kids for him. What could be the reason?”

Zlatan responded by describing the report as false and misleading.

He expressed displeasure over the spread of unverified stories online, stating that people should learn to confirm information before engaging with such posts.

He also warned that the individual behind the report would be held accountable for spreading false information.

He wrote: “Y’all know I hate to shalaye. But if you’re still one of those who can’t differentiate or confirm before you engage an agenda post in 2026, you don’t deserve to have internet on your phone.

“This is fake! Banger boy, your time is coming soon.”

The reaction came shortly after the singer addressed questions about his relationship status on social media.

While responding to a fan who referred to Davita Lamai as his wife, Zlatan explained that she is the mother of his children but that they are not yet married.
