The Ogun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) today agreed on its flag bearer for the 2027 governorship election in the state.
According to sources within the party, the decision will be taken at the Strategic meeting of the Ogun APC caucus slated for today.
The meeting in a statement signed by the Ogun APC Chairman, Yemi Sanusi is scheduled to be held at the Party Secretariat, Abeokuta.
Sanusi said the meeting is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen party unity, review current political developments, and chart a forward-looking course for the party in the state.
But a source within the party who is privy to the development told BEYOND AFRICA that the party candidate for the 2027 governorship ticket will emerge at the strategist meeting.
BEYOND AFRICA reports that major contenders for the governorship ticket include, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and Iyabo Obasanjo.
