Senator Gbenga Daniel has rejected the endorsement of Governor Dapo Abiodun by Ogun East All Progressives Congress, APC, stakeholders as their consensus senatorial candidate for the 2027 election.
The decision, which was made at a stakeholders’ meeting attended by leaders from the zone, had a twist as Senator Otunba Daniel was denied entry into the meeting venue.
The senator, who addressed his supporters outside the venue, after he was locked out, said any decision taken at the meeting will not stand.
