The South West Zonal Meeting and Press Conference of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was successfully held today at Ibadan Business School (IBS), Old Bodija, Ibadan.
The meeting expressed deep appreciation to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for his leadership in overseeing the activities of the Zonal Executive Committee, alongside the commendable contributions of other zonal leaders.
The gathering showcased the duly elected Chairmen from the six South West states, who emerged during the recent State Congresses conducted earlier this April. The party applauded the smooth, transparent, and credible conduct of the congresses under the guidance of the National Secretary and the National Chairman, Senator David Mark.
The meeting further noted that the growth of the ADC remains highly commendable, as members from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and other walks of life have continued to align with the party in a shared commitment to rescue Nigerians from the prevailing hardship under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The ADC reaffirmed its commitment to restoring governance and economic opportunities to the common people, noting that current policies have deepened poverty and hardship across the nation.
Furthermore, the party emphasized its resolve to prioritize the safety of lives and property across the South West, with a firm commitment to tackling the persistent challenges of kidnapping and armed banditry.
The ADC also reiterated its vision to dismantle elitist governance structures and rebuild Nigeria’s global reputation by placing leadership in the hands of credible, competent, and people-oriented individuals.
The party hereby calls on all well-meaning citizens of the South West to join the ADC, while urging members to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts aimed at rescuing Nigeria from its current challenges and restoring hope to the people.
