The New Nigeria Mandate (NNM), Osun State Chapter, commends the Distinguished Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, OFR, for his recent congratulatory message to Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke on his re-election and, more importantly, his expressed commitment to support, collaboration and partnership towards the peace, progress and prosperity of Osun State.
At a time when political differences can easily become sources of division, we consider this gesture a welcome demonstration that the interest of the state must ultimately rise above partisan considerations.
The New Nigeria Mandate hereby declares its confidence in Senator Fadahunsi’s continued representation and commitment to the people of Osun East, and urges the good people of the Senatorial District to remain calm, united and supportive of every genuine effort aimed at attracting development, opportunities and meaningful dividends of democracy to the district. We believe that political leadership should be measured not merely by contests and campaigns, but by the capacity to unite people, attract development and stand for the collective interest of the people. We therefore encourage all stakeholders in Osun East to give peace, cooperation and development a greater priority.
As a movement committed to Building a Better Nigeria Together, we believe the post-election period should mark the beginning of reconciliation rather than continued political hostility. We call on political leaders, supporters and citizens across Osun State to embrace dialogue, tolerance and cooperation, while allowing the administration and elected representatives to concentrate on delivering meaningful development to the people. Osun belongs to all of us, and its progress must remain our common mandate.
