The Director General of the Osun State All Progressives Congress, APC, Campaign Council has appointed former House of Representatives member, Hon. Rotimi Makinde, to lead the Entertainment Committee and to serve as a member in two other strategic committees ahead of the next electoral cycle. The move, according to party insiders, is based on his “pedigree, integrity and experience.” Besides chairing Entertainment, Makinde will also sit on the Strategy Committee and the Contact & Mobilisation Committee.

The Entertainment Committee under Makinde’s leadership brings together a heavyweight cast of Nollywood, music and cultural figures, including Alhaji Yinka Quadri, Taiwo Hassan, Monsuru Obadina a.k.a Fala, Chief Ajala ,Rotimi Salami, Damola Olatunji, Toyin Adegbola, Muka Ray, Olumide Osunsina, Adeoye Bakare, Otunba Adekunle Abolade, Hon. Deji Adefisayo, Olaitan Kafayat, Shakira Adeoye, Taiwo Ibikunle, Joke Oyin Adejobi, Aaree Bosun Oode, and others. The committee is tasked with driving grassroots engagement through creative platforms and community outreach. A campaign source described Makinde as “one of the few who can connect party elders with the creative industry without losing credibility on either side.”

Reacting, Hon. Makinde called the assignment “a call to deeper service.” He said: “We’ll use every tool — music, film, strategy and direct ward contact — to take our message of progress to every compound in Osun. In entertainment, we’ll lift spirits. In strategy, we’ll set the course. In mobilisation, we’ll knock on every door.” He pledged to execute all roles with discipline and loyalty to the party and the people of Osun.
