● Seeks Support for Tinubu, Yayi
The Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor on Bureau of Information Technology, Hon. Akeem Oluseye, has urged residents of the state, particularly those who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), to do so without further delay.
Oluseye said the PVC remained an essential instrument for citizens to exercise their voting rights and elect leaders of their choice in the 2027 general elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has resumed the distribution of PVCs across designated ward collection centres.
The governor’s aide, in a statement personally signed and made available to journalists in Abeokuta on Sunday, encouraged eligible voters to visit their respective ward collection centres to obtain their cards.
According to him, the PVC remains a vital instrument through which citizens can participate in the electoral process and determine who governs them.
He also urged residents who had collected their cards to keep them safe ahead of the elections.
Oluseye further called on Ogun residents to sustain their support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in the state, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
Oluseye said, “The time has come again to go out in large numbers to obtain our Permanent Voter Cards as we approach the next general elections. INEC has resumed the distribution exercise, and it is incumbent on us as citizens to exercise our civic responsibility by collecting our PVCs and voting.
“For those who are yet to collect their PVCs, I implore them to do so without further delay. For those who already have their PVCs, please keep them safe. Our PVCs are our power and the instrument through which we can elect leaders who will bring about the desired development and good governance.
“I want to encourage everyone not to sell their PVCs, as the cards remain essential for participating in elections,” Oluseye added.
