A former Ogun Central Senatorial Aspirant, Dr. Emmanuel Olusola Soyoola, EOS, has rallied support for all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement released to newsmen in Abeokuta on Monday, the medical doctor said Ogun State needs experienced leadership going forward while describing Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi as the most qualified candidate to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2027.
“As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, Senator YAYI has the expertise to manage Ogun’s resources and attract federal support for infrastructure, IGR growth, and industrialization,” he said.
Dr. Soyoola noted Senator YAYI’s record of constituency interventions across the 20 LGAs in education, health facilities, roads, water, and large-scale empowerment as clear evidence of capacity.
He added that Senator YAYI’s political base and acceptability cut across all 3 senatorial districts, which he described as “critical for unity and stability in Ogun State.”
According to him, Senator YAYI’s agenda prioritizes job creation, support for small businesses, agribusiness development, and digital skills for youths.
“Ogun State is at a stage that demands a governor with national exposure, legislative clout, and a clear plan for economic growth. Senator YAYI represents tested experience, competence, and a vision to take Ogun to the next level. We are calling on all party members, traditional institutions, civil society, and the electorate to support this movement for progress,” he stated.
Dr. Soyoola pledged to begin statewide mobilization, voter education, and issue-based campaigns ahead of the 2027 elections for the victory of President Bola Tinubu, Yayi, Senator Shuaib Afolabi, Hon. Olumide Osoba and Hon. Babatunde Tella.
