The President, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Babatunde Akinteye, Babtee, has posited that the ongoing political violence against the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke by the All Progressives Congress may have long-lasting consequences.

Akinteye, in a Facebook post yesterday, described Adeleke as a popular candidate, genuinely loved by the people, urged the opposition to work with him for the progress of the state.

He wrote: “In politics, never pick a fight with someone who is popular, genuinely loved by the people, accommodating, and generous. Such individuals often enjoy deep public goodwill that cannot be easily erased.

“The APC experience in Osun involving the Adeleke family is often cited as a reminder that political battles against widely loved figures can have long-lasting consequences.

“Rather than treating such people as rivals, see them as partners who can strengthen your leadership. Bring them closer, build bridges, and govern with peace and inclusiveness instead of unnecessary confrontation.

“Everyone has a destiny. Whether they fulfill it or not is ultimately up to them.

“May history be kind to us all.”
