Popular businessman and internet personality, Isaac Fayose, has accused the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of being “selfish” and overly focused on securing a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Fayose, who is a brother to former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, made the remarks in an interview with Daily Post on Saturday.

The businessman said he was initially a supporter of the current administration but withdrew his support after observing what he described as a growing desperation for power.

“I used to support this government before, but when I noticed that they are selfish and desperate for a second term, and they don’t care about who is dying, I began to hate the government,” he said.

He further accused the government of being insensitive to the plight of citizens amid worsening insecurity.

“This administration is selfish and desperate for a second term. Look at how many governors have decamped, look at what they are doing to the PDP,” Fayose added.

Fayose also alleged that the administration was attempting to weaken opposition parties in pursuit of a one-party state.

“You are turning the country into a one-party state because of your own selfish interests. When you do everything for your own selfish interests, it means you don’t have the interest of the people at heart,” he said.

According to him, opposition remains essential to democratic governance.

“The beauty of democracy is the opposition. When you kill opposition just for your own gain, that is selfishness,” he added.
